This is an introductory course designed to acquaint students with the basic issues involved in interpreting the New and Old Testaments. Students gain "hands on" exposure to (a) the methods involved in doing exegesis, (b) the various tools available to assist in doing exegesis, and © some preliminary discussion of some of the issues surrounding hermeneutics.

Rikk E. Watts is Associate Professor of New Testament at Regent College. He is author of a recently published book on the use of Isaiah in the Gospel of Mark entitled Isaiah's New Exodus and Mark.
