In this course, Preston Manning draws upon his fifteen years of integrating his faith with political life in Canada - as a leader of a federal political party, a Member of Parliament, and leader of the Opposition. Topics covered include faith as a guide for political action, relations between faith-based institutions and the institutions of politics and government, the representation of secular and faith-based interests in the political and parliamentary arena, the wise management of the interface between faith and politics, and examples of wisdom and foolishness in the management of this interface.
Preston Manning was one of the principal founders of the Reform Party of Canada and the Canadian Alliance, serving as Leader of the Official Opposition in the Canadian Parliament from 1997-2000. He has spoken extensively on faith and politics.
