Work is something everyone - or almost everyone - does, even if it is without remuneration. We spend most of our waking hours doing it. But what does it mean? Does it bear any connection with the coming of the Kingdom of God - even if it is not a stated Christianity ministry? Why work at all? And why work hard or heartily? And how can we go about integrating our faith with our daily work? These are the questions Bruce Waltke and Paul Stevens will be addressing from both the Old and New Testaments, especially the passages that express the wisdom of God on matters of daily life. Lecture Titles are as follows;
Bruce Waltke is Professor Emeritus in Old Testament Studies at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the author of Genesis: A Commentary, Creation and Chaos, Finding the Will of God: A Pagan Notion?, An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax, and commentaries on Micah.
