This series has as its starting point that "equipping the saints for the work of the ministry" (Eph. 4:11-12) is a fundamental ministry of church and parachurch leaders. Listeners explore and evaluate models for the missional church that will empower the people of God for service in the church and world. Foundational concerns such as the theology of ministry, the theology of the laity (laos), discipleship ministries, the formation of mature Christians, and the body-life or systemic approach to learning and equipping are addressed.
R. Paul Stevens is Professor Emeritus of Marketplace Theology at Regent College. He is the author of Liberating the Laity, Disciplines of the Hungry Heart, The Other Six Days, Marriage Spirituality, Doing God's Business and co-editor (with Robert J. Banks) of The Complete Book of Everyday Christianity.
