This course seeks to explain the contribution of Genesis to Christian theology by exegeting the book in its historical contexts. More specifically it aims to facilitate the encounter between God and the listener, to develop a biblical world and life view, to enable skill in narrative theology, and to interpret the book of Genesis within the canon of Scripture.
Bruce Waltke is Professor Emeritus in Old Testament Studies at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the author of Genesis: A Commentary, Creation and Chaos, Finding the Will of God: A Pagan Notion?, An Introduction to Biblical Hebrew Syntax, and commentaries on Micah. He also served on the translation committee of the NIV Bible.
