Description

This is a Christian Thought and Culture Lecture. The modern (and 'post-modern') invention of 'sex' as a thing apart from either covenant or procreation has led to its commodification, with disastrous social and cultural effects. Godly sexuality is one of the greatest challenges for contemporary Christians. Pre-lecture reading: Ozment, Steven. Marriage: Just a Piece of Paper?, eds. K. Anderson, D. Browning and B. Boyer (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 2002): pp 219-229.
