Public discourse between the business and environmental communities tends to be characterized by a high degree of misunderstanding and distrust. Moreover, the challenging tasks involved with reconciling economic, ecological, and social concerns are routinely left for politicians to solve. What does a Christian worldview have to offer in this hostile climate of monologue, "spin," and blame? A biblical understanding of humanity's purpose says that we are called to love God, love people, and care for creation by creatively unlocking the potential of the garden-planet that we steward. How can this vision help faithful citizen-entrepreneurs engage issues of universal consequence in both pragmatic and prophetic ways? The aim of this discussion is to explore how the creation of wealth, in theory and in practice, can bring glory to God by serving and supporting the care of creation and the care of people.
