Prayer as expressive of Christian consciousness, in the personal experiences of God, will be studied historically in this course. This will be explored in the use of the Psalter, The Lord's Prayer and the Anglican Book of Common Prayer, as well as in the lives and teachings of selected scholars/saints, within the history of the Church. This survey is intended to broaden and deepen pastorally the contemporary hunger for the personal experience of God.
